Lamèque Public Library

The Lamèque Public Library is officially open since January 1989 but the present manager, Jeanne-Mance Noël, is there since
August 15th, 1988.

The first members of the board of directors of the Lamèque Public Library Commission were Alcie Haché, Carole Gauvin, Rollande Duguay, Patricia Paulin, Evelyne Jean, Marjolaine Haché, Blanche Chiasson and Roger Jean. Today, its members are Carolle Duguay (president), Alcie Haché (vice-president), Aurore Lanteigne (treasurer), Emmanuelle Pelletier, Colette Chiasson and Guy O. Chiasson (town council representative).

Annual item loaned at the Lamèque Public Library amount to around 19 000.
