Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival
The Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival wishes to promote and publicize its event all over New Brunswick. Founded in 1976 by harpsichord player Mathieu Duguay, the Festival is widely known and has great success with music lovers. Some of the major concerts are held at the multicoloured Sainte-Cécile Church, located at Petite-Rivière-de-l’Île on Lamèque Island.
The Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival is unique in Canada for its artistic vision. It is the only festival in the country that confines its musical programming to the period between 1600 and 1760, respecting the aesthetics of the Baroque era through the use of period instruments or copies thereof.
The festival will be held from July 25th to the 27th. We will be celebrating our 38th anniversay, it's a great time to show your support and come enjoy four days of musical inspirations of the world.
